FIND OUT ALL THE DETAILS
Orthopaedics is a surgical specialty that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the musculoskeletal system, whether congenital or acquired, traumatic or non-traumatic.
The musculoskeletal system supports the function of movement. Impairment of the locomotor system often leads to social exclusion, with the patient being isolated by an inability to perform movements and support dynamic function.

In-office orthopaedic procedures:
- Expert consultation, control
- Infiltrations with viscosupplementation preparations represent a therapeutic option in which a viscoelastic solution in the form of an injectable gel is used. This solution works as a lubricant, nourishing the cartilage and protecting it from shock, reducing pain and inflammation. Naturally secreted by the knee's lining, synovial fluid becomes less present in the knee affected by arthrosis, justifying the need for supplementation through single-dose infiltrations with a high concentrate of viscous preparations.
- Collagen infiltrations
- PRP infiltrations (coming soon) are recommended for a wide range of conditions, with better results in the early or acute stages of the disease and in younger people. They can be effective in treating cartilage injuries, muscle tears, degenerative or acute tendon injuries, and acute or chronic tendon inflammation.
- Corticosteroid infiltrations, with properties similar to natural cortisol secreted by the adrenal glands, are indicated in tendonitis, fasciitis, bursitis, tenosynovitis, as well as in arthroses of the knee, ankle and other joints. Due to the crystalloid structure, the release is slow, ensuring a long-lasting effect (3-6 months). It is important to note that despite the benefits, these treatments may have some contraindications, such as hypersensitivity to the substance administered, treatment with anticoagulants or clotting disorders, uncontrolled hypertension, or uncontrolled diabetes.
